When choosing a school for your child, there are many more options than in years past. That is why your visit to our website is so exciting!  The choice to attend a private school is personal and parents need to know the facts so they may make the best decision possible for their child.

Students graduate from our school with a solid foundation both academically and spiritually.  From learning an integrated reading, spelling, writing and language curriculum-the Carden Method, to SAXON math in the elementary grades and pre- algebra and algebra in middle school, to history, social studies and science, St. John’s Episcopal School has a history of over 65 years of academic excellence combined with building a spiritual legacy to last a lifetime.  With an established Middle School, families may now choose to extend their child’s education with us beginning in Pre-School 3’s through 8th grade.  St. John’s is a proud member of the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, National Association of Episcopal Schools and the prestigious student organization, National Junior Honor Society.

Our after-school programs are open to various ages and include martial arts and dance.  We also offer after school Enrichment and PSIA (Academic Team) for those who are up for a challenge.  We are always looking for after school activities that promote the mental, physical, and spiritual growth of our students.

When you become a part of St. John’s you become a part of a family—one that is comprised of parents and grandparents, students, alumni, faculty and staff, a Board of Trustees, the church vestry, and the Friends of St. John’s-our parent association.  We know it takes a village of people who care about the individual child and what is needed to accomplish the goals set before them.  Besides rigorous study in classroom subjects, our students also attend Spanish, computers, music, and art.  Chapel is attended by the student body 3 times a week focusing on bible stories, hymns, and bible songs, and how they relate to our daily lives.  We, as an Episcopal school, know that in an ever-changing world, faith and hope in God will give students the balance and strength to pursue their future.

St. John’s students give back to their families and the community through events and programs during the school year.  A few of the ways students give back are through Christmas and Easter pageants, Grandparents/Special Friends Day, Blessing of the Animals, President’s Day, Thanksgiving Feast, and chapel programs which are all attended by friends and families.

I would love to meet with you and schedule a tour.  Please bring your questions and let us show you what being a St. John’s Eagle is all about!

Blessings,

Heather E. Kirk
